Debra Messing Pictures, News, Videos, Biography, Filmography.

Messing has been nominated for a total of six Emmy Awards, eight Golden Globe Awards and eight Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2003 she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Will & Grace. In Open Season, she was the voice of Beth.
Debra Lynn Messing (born August 15, 1968) is an American actress, voice artist, and comedienne. She is perhaps best known for her role as Grace Adler in the NBC sitcom Will & Grace and as Molly Kagan in the mini-series The Starter Wife.

Early Life
Messing was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, the daughter of Sandra (née Simons), who has worked as a professional singer, banker, travel and real estate agent, and Brian Messing, a sales executive for a costume jewelry packaging manufacturer. Messing is Jewish, a descendant of immigrants from Russia and Poland. When Messing was three, she moved with her parents and her older brother, Brett, to East Greenwich, about 15 miles from Providence, Rhode Island.

During her high school years, she acted and sang in a number of high school productions at East Greenwich High School, including the starring roles in the musicals Annie and Grease. She took lessons in dance, singing, and acting. In 1986, she was Rhode Island's Junior Miss and competed in Mobile, Alabama in the America's Junior Miss scholarship program. While her parents encouraged her dream of becoming an actress, they also urged her to complete a liberal arts education before deciding on acting as a career. Following their advice, she attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. During her junior year, she studied theater at the prestigious London-based British European Studio Group program, an experience that solidified her desire to act.

In 1990, after graduating summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a bachelor's degree in theater arts, Messing gained admission to the elite Graduate Acting Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts which accepts approximately fifteen new students annually. She earned a Master's Degree in Fine Arts after three years.

In 1993, Messing won praise for her acting in the pre-Broadway workshop production of Tony Kushner's play Angels in America: Perestroika. Subsequently, she appeared in several episodes of the television series NYPD Blue during 1994 and 1995.

Career
In 1995, Messing made her film debut in Alfonso Arau's A Walk in the Clouds playing the unfaithful wife of main character Paul Sutton (Keanu Reeves). This exposure led the Fox network to make her the co-star of the television sitcom, Ned & Stacey. The series lasted for two seasons, from 1995 to 1997. Messing appeared as Jerry Seinfeld's date in two episodes of the series Seinfeld: "The Wait Out" in 1996 and "The Yada Yada" in 1997. Messing turned down a starring role in another television sitcom to appear in Donald Margulies's two-character play Collected Stories, which opened at the Off Broadway Manhattan Theater Club. She also co-starred in the Tom Arnold vehicle McHale's Navy in 1997.

In 1998, Messing played a lead role as the bio-anthropologist Sloan Parker on ABC's dramatic science fiction television series Prey. During this time her agent approached her with the pilot script for the television show Will & Grace. Messing was inclined to take some time off, but the script intrigued her, and she auditioned for the role of Grace Adler, beating out Nicollette Sheridan, who later guest-starred on the show as a romantic rival of Grace's. Will & Grace became a ratings success, and Messing became a star.

In 2002, she was named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine. TV Guide picked her as its "Best Dressed Woman" in 2003. Messing was cast by director Woody Allen in a small role in his 2002 film Hollywood Ending. Her film roles since include a happily married but ill-fated wife in the supernatural thriller The Mothman Prophecies (2002) and a supporting role in Along Came Polly (2004). The Wedding Date (2005) was Messing's first leading role in a high-profile film. It received mixed reviews but performed fairly well at the box office. Messing was featured as a judge on the season finale of the second season of Bravo's reality show, Project Runway. Also in 2005, along with Megan Mullaly, she was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award in recognition of her excellence and innovation in her creative works that have enhanced the perception of women through the medium of television[8] She also starred in the television mini-series The Starter Wife, which was nominated for ten Emmy awards including one for Messing for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie.

In 2008, Messing reprised her role as Molly Kagan in the television series The Starter Wife, consisting of 10 episodes. In early 2010, Messing starred in the ABC comedy pilot Wright vs. Wrong for the 2010-2011 primetime season but the pilot was not picked up by ABC.

In early 2011, it was announced that Messing will star in a new NBC musical pilot called Smash for the 2011–2012 primetime season. In May 2011, it was reported that NBC had picked up the show as a series for the 2011-2012 season.

In 2011, Messing was ranked No. 22 on the TV Guide Network special, Funniest Women on TV.

But despite Irina's toned physique, she insists she doesn't diet.'I think that a person can eat what she likes and do some exercises to be in shape - doesn't matter if it's going to be gym or swimming or walking in a park or pilates,' she once told StyleBistro.

All action girl: Natalie Cassidy keeps herself occupied - and in shape - on holiday in Turkey with jetskiing, swimming and yoga

The soap actress has gone on the break with a friend and baby daughter Eliza to stay in a five star hotel in the south of the country - and to escape everything surrounding her 31-year-old former fiancé Adam Cottrell's conviction for assaulting her.Heartbroken Natalie, 28, who has suffered from yo-yoing weight over the years, looked like she had shed the pounds too during her recent ordeal - and appeared determined to keep it off whilst abroad too.

The star has been spotted hitting the waves on a jetski, as well as toning up by swimming in the surf.
She's also been pounding the pavements pushing Eliza in her pram in the Mediterranean heat, and has even been putting herself through some yoga poses when she's meant to be relaxing round her hotel pool.

As a result, the mother-of-one is looking in incredible shape - and indeed, Natalie didn't seem shy to show off her figure in her tiny colourful abstract print bikini.

The star did however cover up at the end of another perfect day on the beach in a pretty bandeau sun dress featuring a butterfly print - perhaps another hint that she's been reborn since splitting from Cottrell.

Natalie revealed earlier this month that she was scared her violent ex-fiancé would try to kidnap their baby daughter if he lost control again.

Talking for the first time since her Cottrell attacked her in front of their nine-month-old child Eliza, she confessed that she still loved him.

However, the star, who played trumpet-blowing Sonia Fowler in the soap, believes he might try and run off with their daughter, saying: 'I don't believe Adam would ever hurt Eliza, but I have to remember that things have happened with her in the room.
'What if, God forbid, one day he thought, "I miss her so much I'm going to take her away?"'

She's had one of the most traumatic years of her life - and former EastEnders
star Natalie Cassidy has got away from it all on a last-minute holiday to Turkey.
And though she said that although she was still in love with him, she hated him for what he had done and knew that leaving him would be the best thing to do.The actress said: 'In the end we couldn't be in the same room without arguing. Then it got to the stage when I was frightened and had to do something about it.
'I thought he was "The One". I'm still in love with him but I hate him for everything he's done.
'I still have feelings for him but I can't see us getting back together because of everything that's happened.'

Escape is over: Rachel MasterChef

“I really was determined to finish,” Rachel Master Chef said. The Hunger Games

“Quitting was not an option, but I think I’m also a realist.“I remember the moment he walked in the MasterChef kitchen. I looked up to Kate and mouthed to her ‘do you think I can do this?’

“I think even then I was so daunted by the task in front of me.”Despite being considered the mum of the house by many of her fellow contestants, McSweeney saw her time on the show as an escape from her domestic responsibilities.

“Being in the MasterChef house was just such a break from my normal life that it was bloody fantastic,” she said.“It was the most self indulgent, selfish, egotistical experience of my life. I didn’t have to look after three kids; I didn’t have to be a wife; I didn’t get phone calls at 3am to pick up my kids because they couldn’t get a taxi. I’ve always done my best to look after my family, but I loved having that time just to cook and when we weren’t cooking we were reading cook books and talking about cooking.”

The former office administrator recently started a traineeship in hospitality at Fraser’s restaurant in Kings Park in Perth.“Every day I learn something new. I almost feel bad getting paid for it,” she laughed.

“I sat down with Chris Taylor, the executive chef at Fraser’s, and after a lot of discussion we realised my strength and talents were better utilised dealing with people.

“My knowledge of food is making me a better front of house person.”

McSweeney’s many MasterChef highlights include impressing Adriano Zumbo with her brownies and travelling to Malaysia to meet Rick Stein, but celebrity chef Nigella Lawson takes the cake, literally.“For me the absolute highlight was meeting Nigella and getting that fantastic feedback that she wanted my recipe and loved my cake,” she said.

“Pretty good for a mum from Yokine.”She tips Sunday’s challenge winner Kate Bracks as the person to beat this series.“I really do think Kate will show everybody how wonderful she is,” she said.“Sometimes it’s not just about being a good cook, but being centred and calm. Kate has all of that. She certainly is my top pick. I also think Hayden (Quinn) and Michael (Weldon) and Mat (Beyer), the three young boys, are certainly going to give her a run for her money. I have to say Ellie is really coming into her own. I think that Ellie, even if she doesn’t win, she will shine.”

In the background, there are two tall trees and a light blue colored sky that has multiple clouds.
Jackson's childhood home in Gary, Indiana, showing floral tributes after his death.

Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, the eighth of ten children in an African American working-class family who lived in a small 3-room house in Gary, Indiana,an industrial suburb of Chicago. His mother, Katherine Esther Scruse, was a devout Jehovah's Witness, and his father, Joseph Walter "Joe" Jackson, was a steel mill worker who performed with an R&B band called The Falcons. Jackson had three sisters: Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet, and five brothers: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy.A sixth brother, Brandon, died shortly after birth.

Jackson had a troubled relationship with his father, Joe.Joseph acknowledged in 2003 that he regularly whipped Jackson as a boy.Jackson stated that he was physically and emotionally abused during incessant rehearsals, though he also credited his father's strict discipline with playing a large role in his success.Jackson first spoke openly about his childhood abuse in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, broadcast in February 1993. He admitted that he had often cried from loneliness and he would vomit on the sight of his father. Jackson's father was also said to have verbally abused Jackson, saying that he had a fat nose on numerous occasions. In fact, Michael Jackson's deep dissatisfaction with his appearance, his nightmares and chronic sleep problems, his tendency to remain hyper-compliant especially with his father, and to remain child-like throughout his adult life are in many ways consistent with the effects of this chronic maltreatment he endured as a young child.[10] Also, U.S.-based research studies on impact of "adverse childhood experiences" or ACEs (e.g. a child being abused, violence in the family, extreme stress of poverty, etc.) have shown that having a number of ACEs exponentially increases the risk of addiction (e.g. a male child with six ACEs has a 4,600%/46-fold increase in risk of addiction), mental illnesses, physical illnesses, and early death.

In an interview with Martin Bashir, later included in the 2003 broadcast of Living with Michael Jackson, Jackson acknowledged that his father hurt him when he was a child, but was nonetheless a "genius", as he admitted his father's strict discipline played a huge role in his success. When Bashir dismissed the positive remark and continued asking about beatings, Jackson put his hand over his face and objected to the questions. He recalled that Joseph sat in a chair with a belt in his hand as he and his siblings rehearsed, and that "if you didn't do it the right way, he would tear you up, really get you

Kelly Rowland's dramatic eye make-up: Pixiwoo video shows you how to get X Factor judge's style

Because the eye is quite a strong focal point of the look it’s best to keep the foundation quite light and dewy. A lot of people are scared of bold eye make-up but it is easy to perfect and looks amazing.

1. It’s all about the base

If you keep everything else in your look natural, the eyes will really stand out.

I used Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 for the base. If you’re going to buy a tinted moisturiser, it’s really important to buy one containing SPF as you don’t have to wear one underneath.

Most foundations already contain SPF but not all tinted moisturisers do. You can make your own tinted moisturiser by mixing it with your own foundation.

But make sure the moisturiser you use has an SPF in it too to ensure the moisturiser does not water down the foundation’s SPF.

2. Conceal your imperfections

I used Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer, which does the job and is easy on the purse strings. Apply it down the length of the nose, under the eye and anywhere you need a little bit more coverage. For the brows, I used Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer.

To create a vibrant eye, I used MAC eyeshadow in Swimming, which is an eye-catching green with a slightly iridescent look. MAC is not an overly expensive range but they are definitely one of the best on the market for longevity.

3. Eye-catching colour

For the under-eye area I used the teal end of the Estee Lauder Eye Shadow Stick. This product also has a pink pencil on the opposite end for another colour option, which is handy so you can create another look for the price of one product.

The pencil is an investment product but we wouldn’t recommend you use both sides at the same time.

For the lashes, I applied Eyeko Big Eye Mascara to frame the eyes. This product is budget-friendly and comes in a great tube, and even better, it prevents smudging. It should also stay put all day long.

Mascaras in tubes tend to have a slightly more glossy feel so are well worth a look.

 4. Be cheeky with your look

To create a fresh sun-kissed look, I used Bourjois Bronzer in number 52. A lot of people go wrong with bronzer as they use it to contour the cheekbone area. Use it where the sun hits you – so that’s the forehead, tops of the cheekbones and chin.

On the apples of the cheeks, I used a little more colour. I used Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint in Bang as this provides extra glow and is a great look for summer.

Sometimes a powder blusher can appear too matt, but a cream is more natural looking and sinks into the skin nicely.

5. Get fruity with your gloss

To hold the make-up in place and to ensure it stays on all day, I used Sleek Makeup Luminous Pressed Powder, which has slightly iridescent particles to give a nice glow. This product matts down some of the dewiness of the tinted moisturiser we used earlier but still leaves the skin with a slight sheen.

To finish the look, I chose Pixi Lip Booster in Pixie, a sheer orangey red. Colour glosses are essential for the summer because they can make the lips look really striking.
